baobab
Personne ne peut se tromper en voyant un baobab tant cet arbre est caractéristique. Extrêmement massif, ventru et gorgé d’eau , cette arbre peut atteindre la hauteur de 30 m et un diamètre de 15 mètres. Son fruit plus couramment appelé le pain de singe sont consommés par les populations
Le baobab est présent partout au Sénégal. On le rencontre partout dés que l’on quitte les villes. Il est même présent à Dakar.
Cette photo de baobab est sans aucun doute le plus beau spécimen que j’aie vu au Sénégal. Je l’ai aperçu depuis la route qui mène à Saint Louis du Sénégal, et je n’ai pu m’empêcher tant cet arbre m’a impréssionné.
